Pickup & Hand-Delivery
The maison operates as a Texas Cottage Food Production Operation under Senate Bill 541. For now, every order travels the shortest possible distance from bench to table: you collect it in person, or we bring it to you by hand. We do not ship by mail or carrier and we never use third-party delivery services — no USPS, UPS, FedEx, DoorDash, or Uber Eats. This is both our preference and a requirement of Texas cottage food law.
Pickup — complimentary
A 48-hour window from order, scheduled in four-hour slots at the Houston address shared on your confirmation. Please bring a cooler or insulated bag for anything that needs to stay cold.
Hand-delivery — within Texas
Every delivery is made in person by The Vespre — by Svetlana, a team member, or a member of the household — never by a courier or carrier. Delivery across greater Houston is a flat $20 base, covering the first 10 miles, plus $4 per mile beyond that, calculated at checkout. In practice:

We hand-deliver within roughly a 25-mile core radius, extending to about 40 miles by request. Wedding and event deliveries — including on-site setup of tiered pieces — are arranged individually. For temperature-sensitive pieces, we hold the cold chain in transit and hand the piece directly to you or your representative.
Out-of-state
Not available during the Cottage Food phase. Our Q1 2027 commercial-kitchen expansion will open shipping to the contiguous United States.
If something isn't right
Inspect your piece when you receive it. If anything is damaged or not as described, write to hello@thevespre.com within 24 hours of pickup or delivery with one photograph, and we will replace it with the next available capsule slot or issue a full refund.
Shipping — Commercial Phase (Q1 2027+)
Built and ready — switching on when our licensed commercial kitchen opens. Until then, all orders are pickup or hand-delivery within Texas, as above.
When our licensed kitchen opens, in-state and nationwide shipping go live.
Carriers & rates Flat-rate shipping via USPS, UPS, or FedEx, with cold-chain packaging for any piece that requires temperature control. We never use third-party couriers such as DoorDash or Uber Eats.

Damage in transit If a piece arrives damaged, write to hello@thevespre.com within 24 hours of delivery with one photograph. We replace with the next available capsule slot or issue a full refund.
